See everyday items turned into
unique handpainted artworks
At Storytellers our goal is to make authentic Aboriginal art accessible and relatable to everyone.
Our artworks range from traditional canvases to everyday items that are turned into unique handpainted artworks, each with it’s own story, and each "one-of-a-kind", no two are the same. Ranging from from contemporary themes to traditional stories, these pieces are exclusive proprietary products, each one designed by an individual artist making each piece unique.
The paintings are authentic Aboriginal pieces on canvas created by Australian Aboriginal people. Each piece tells a story and carries a profile of the Artist, ensuring its authenticity.
Making Aboriginal Art accessible to all.
& Learning Space
Much more than just an art gallery, The Storytellers is a cultural learning space for all age groups.
We conduct Cultural Art classes and incursions for all age groups that include storytelling through art and traditional painting techniques on everyhting from flowerpots and riverstones to clothing and textiles.
Group classes are also available at the gallery for mature groups.
Keepers of the Dreaming
On 28 November 2018, after a 24 year battle, Nhanta people were recognised as the traditional owners of more than 17,000 square kilometres of land and water in the Murchison region of Western Australia.
Our name, The Storytellers-Keepers of the Dreaming, reflects our philosophy ‘to share and preserve our Aboriginal culture by making it accessible to everyone through Art and Storytelling’’, by creating an inclusive art & learning space for people of all ages and backgrounds.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
